The Big Raffle - Fundraiser for Ukraine!

This Month we held a ‘Big Raffle’ at the Bakehouse to raise funds for those displaced and effected by the war in the Ukraine.
It was a lovely evening including a Ukrainian feast of Borscht, Pampuski and other filled breads which was cooked up by our brilliant chefs Beta and Mariana and of course the main event The Big Raffle!
We had lots of amazing prizes donated by local businesses and our own suppliers including wine, books, cheeses and more!

We raised a massive £3569 so Big Thanks to all who came or contributed to the evening.

The money raised will be split between the following 3 charities..

Insight Ukraine - is a Ukrainian human rights public organisation whose main values are equality, feminism, freedom, inclusiveness & diversity for all social groups. Currently they are collecting donations to provide protection, safety and health during the war. https://www.insight-ukraine.org/en/

DEC is pivotal in coordinating the UK Public’s response to overseas disasters. Their mission is to save, protect and rebuild lives through effective humanitarian response and get help to people who need it as fast as possible. https://www.dec.org.uk/

Mavia Bakery is a social enterprise in Beirut with two main goals; employing women from diverse backgrounds and food security and sustainability through the planting of local and native grains to bake with. Mavia Bakery is being supported through Sadalsuud Foundation helping Syrian refugees in Lebanon through baking and education. http://sadalsuudfoundation.org/
